Email from President Hill about resuming operations, Tuesday, October 30, 2012

Dear members of the Vassar community,

Classes and administrative offices will resume normal schedules as of noon today, Tuesday, Oct. 30. The library also will open at noon. Faculty who are unable to get to campus today for afternoon classes should contact their students directly.

The clearing of tree limbs on campus is well under way and students can feel free to move about campus as of 10:30 a.m. this morning. Please use your judgment as wind gusts are still expected periodically. Please stay on the main walkways and paths and exercise caution around large trees.

Campus Dining will resume normal hours of operation at 10:30 a.m. this morning.

Twenty per cent of Dutchess County is without power and we know a number of people in our community are affected. Please be cautious and stay safe.

Catharine Hill
